Cannabis Bulletin
August 3, 2021
This bulletin is to advise all cannabis representatives and licensees of important amendments to the Cannabis Representative Handbook (CRH) and the Retail Cannabis Store Handbook (RCSH).
Effective immediately, a thorough criminal and financial background check will be conducted on a cannabis representative applicant, the applicant’s associates and any key employees to determine eligibility of an applicant to hold a cannabis representative registration.
These changes align with the requirements already met by retail cannabis store licensees and will apply to all new cannabis representative applicants and registration renewals.
The following policy sections have been updated to reflect these changes:
- CRH Section 2.2 – Application for Cannabis Representative Registration
- CRH Section 2.3 ‐ Background Checks
- RCSH Section 2.3 – Background Checks
The amended policies may be accessed on AGLC’s website.
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policy and ensure affected staff are notified of this change.
If you have any questions, please contact AGLC’s Due Diligence Unit at DueDiligence@aglc.ca.
