AGLC has approved amendments to Section 4.3 of the Retail Cannabis Store Handbook to allow the sale of additional cannabis-related items in retail cannabis stores.
The list of cannabis-related items that can be sold includes:
- licensee-branded or premises-branded apparel;
- licensee-branded promotional items, including but not limited to water bottles, insulated mugs or candles;
- publications, including but not limited to cannabis-themed magazines, books or recipes; and
- items used in the personal growing of cannabis, including but not limited to seeds, plant pots and handheld gardening tools.
The sale of cannabis accessories and cannabis-related items is permitted up to 15 per cent of the total dollar value of sales.
The amended policies may be accessed on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca. Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies and ensure affected staff are notified of these changes.
