Awards recognize industry’s commitment towards safety and responsible liquor service
Best Bar None Banff’s inaugural accreditation and awards event honoured nine bars, pubs and entertainment venues for going above and beyond to raise the bar on service and patron safety. Establishments are judged by a steering committee of compliance partners. The inaugural winners are:
Best Bar/Lounge: High Rollers Banff
Best Bar Late Night: Wild Bill’s Legendary Saloon
Members of the public were able to vote for their favourite accredited establishment from June 3-17. The People’s Choice Award winners are:
Best Bar: Banff Ave Brewing Co.
Best Bar Late Night: Rose & Crown Banff
Best Food: Banff Ave Brewing Co.
Best Staff: Banff Ave Brewing Co.
Residents and visitors to Banff can learn which venues are Best Bar None accredited through door signage and an accreditation plaque on display within the premises. Patrons are encouraged to use the Best Bar Finder, found at bestbarnone.ca, to find participating bars in their area.
Best Bar None is a voluntary accreditation and awards program for liquor-licensed venues that aims to improve customer service and reduce alcohol-related harms, with a focus on providing more enjoyable entertainment environments.
Best Bar None Banff is a partnership between Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), Banff Bar Watch, the Town of Banff, the Banff and Lake Louise Hospitality Association, Banff Fire Department and RCMP.
